COVID-19 Update

A Message to Our Valued Patients,

At Detroit Dermatology and Vein center, as always, your health and safety are our top priority.

We wanted to share with you   our response to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic and offer reassurance about the steps we are taking to maximize patient safety while continuing to care for our patients.  We are following recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Oakland County Health Department, state and federal guidelines and beyond.

We are currently limiting in office visits to urgent needs and patients with medical conditions require in office evaluation or treatment.  We will make every effort to continue to care for you and your families.  We will extend hours in the coming weeks to accommodate all re-scheduled patients, including additional evening visits.

We are pre-screening all patients in advance of their visit for any symptoms or known contacts. We strongly recommend that any patient with symptoms including fever (99.5 and above) cough, sneezing, shortness of breath, to contact our office to reschedule or for special instructions if you have an urgent dermatologic need. 

We are instituting a one patient policy.  We are limiting the waiting room and patient areas to one patient at a time. We are taking extra precautions, including vigorous cleaning and disinfecting of all frequently touched surfaces, iPads, washrooms, exam tables, entrances/exits, door handles and other areas.  Dr. Cliffel and all team members wear protective masks, and glasses while in the office. 

We are offering Virtual Visits from the comfort of your own home in the coming days.  Most insurances and Medicare are covering virtual office visits, some with waved co-pays.
